Triad Design Group was the architect, structural engineer and civil engineer on the A. Watts Inc. design-build team for the H.J. Hangar at Piedmont Triad International Airport. The 24,000 sf hangar has a 28 foot door height. The new hangar includes a free standing overhead crane and a surface plate. An existing 6,500 sf hangar was converted into office space. The facility was designed to accommodate aircraft research and development.

New construction included a North Concourse expansion, terminal building security expansion, new baggage handling systems. New facilities included a PTAA Airfield maintenance building, Comair Air Hangar, Menco Worldwide facility, and FAA flight standards district office building.
